Jaipur sits four to five hours from Delhi by train and within a day of most of India. We move patients out of SMS, EHCC, Fortis and Manipal with a nurse or a full ICU team in the coupe — and bring patients into Jaipur from district hospitals across Rajasthan.

The Most Common Request
Most families who call us from Jaipur are heading to Delhi — to AIIMS, Medanta, Apollo or a transplant centre. The road is 270 km on NH-48 and takes five to six hours in an ambulance, longer if the patient needs stops. A train covers it in four to five hours on a smooth track, which matters for a patient in pain or on a ventilator.
| Jaipur → Delhi | By train | By road ambulance |
|---|---|---|
| Travel time | 4–5 hours | 5–6 hours, traffic dependent |
| Ride quality | Steady; no braking or potholes | Constant vibration and stops |
| Space for care | Coupe; team can stand and work | Cramped, seated beside the stretcher |
| Attendants | 1–2 family members comfortably | Usually one, in front |
| Departure flexibility | Fixed train timings | Leaves whenever you are ready |
| Best when | Patient is stable and the trip is planned | Every minute counts, or no train fits |
We arrange both. If the case is time-critical or no suitable train leaves in the next few hours, we will say so and send a road ICU ambulance instead of selling you a rail booking that does not fit.

Where We Board
Jaipur Junction handles nearly everything, but for patients in the south of the city a halt station can save half an hour of ambulance time — and on a hot afternoon, that matters.
Departures to Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and the south. Lifts and ramps make stretcher boarding straightforward, and most trains halt long enough for an unhurried transfer.
Convenient for Tonk Road, Malviya Nagar, Mansarovar and the private hospitals in that belt. Quieter platforms, shorter halts — we confirm the stop duration before choosing it.
Useful for patients near Jawahar Circle, Malviya Nagar industrial area and the airport side of the city, with several Delhi-bound services stopping here.
Across Rajasthan
Rajasthan is a large state with specialist care concentrated in a few cities. A patient in Sikar, Alwar or Bharatpur who needs neurosurgery is usually coming to Jaipur first, and then sometimes onward to Delhi.
We handle both halves of that journey: a road ICU ambulance from the district hospital to the nearest station or straight to Jaipur, and then the rail leg with the same medical team staying with the patient.
Indicative starting prices. What changes the figure is the coach type, the equipment and whether a doctor travels with the nurse.
* Starting prices. Ventilator cases cost more.
Seasonal Planning
From April to June, afternoon temperatures in Jaipur regularly cross 42°C. Heat is a clinical risk for an elderly or dehydrated patient, and it also shortens how long battery-powered equipment holds its charge.
Where the medical picture allows it, we book an early morning or overnight departure rather than moving a patient across a platform at three in the afternoon.
The ambulance is pre-cooled before the patient is moved, an AC coach is reserved, and the nurse monitors hydration and urine output through the journey.
Batteries drain faster in heat, so we carry spares and confirm the coach has working charging points before departure rather than after.
Onboard Setup
The setup is matched to the case. A stable patient going home after surgery does not need a ventilator on board, and we do not charge for one.
Every device runs on battery for six to eight hours and recharges from the coach supply through an inverter we carry.
How It Works
Pickup Points
Pickup from any hospital, nursing home or residence in Jaipur — these are simply the ones we visit most often.
What It Costs
The cheapest option is a nurse escort on a short route; the highest is a fully staffed ICU coupe on a two-day journey.
| Service level | From | Suitable for | Who travels |
|---|---|---|---|
| Medical Escort | ₹28,000+ | Stable and post-surgery patients | Nurse or paramedic, AC compartment |
| Full ICU Coupe | ₹45,000+ | Ventilator and cardiac cases | ICU doctor + nurse, full equipment |
| Bed-to-Bed Transfer | ₹50,000+ | Families who want nothing to arrange | ICU team, road ambulance at both ends |
| Priority Departure | ₹45,000+ | Cases that cannot wait for tomorrow | ICU team on the earliest suitable train |
Prices start at ₹28,000 without a doctor and reach about ₹70,000 for a fully staffed ICU coupe on a long route.

Questions From Rajasthan Families
What callers from Jaipur and the districts ask us most.
For a stable patient on a planned transfer, usually yes: the rail journey is four to five hours on a smooth track, with room for the medical team to work. A road ambulance is the better answer when the case is time-critical or when no suitable train departs in the window you need. We arrange either, and we will tell you which one fits.
Yes. We collect patients by road from Ajmer, Kota, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Sikar, Alwar and Bharatpur, and either bring them into Jaipur or board them at a station closer to home if a suitable train passes through it.
Jaipur Junction for most routes. If the patient is in the south of the city, Durgapura may be quicker, and Gandhinagar Jaipur suits the Jawahar Circle side. We choose based on the train, the halt duration and the road time from the ward.
Heat is managed rather than avoided: an AC coach, a pre-cooled ambulance, careful hydration and, where possible, an early morning or overnight departure. For a frail or dehydrated patient in peak May heat, our doctor may recommend delaying by a day or travelling overnight.
Sometimes, on the Jaipur–Delhi corridor, because several trains run each day. For longer routes, twelve to twenty-four hours is realistic, since a coach must be reserved and the team assembled. Call and we will check what is actually available today.
Not always. Many transfers are handled safely by a critical-care nurse or paramedic, which is why the price starts at ₹28,000. A doctor is required for ventilated, unstable or cardiac patients, and that is when the cost rises towards ₹70,000.
Usually one or two attendants, depending on the berths left after the medical team and equipment. Tell us the number when booking so the right coach is reserved.
The discharge summary or current treatment notes, a photo ID for the patient and each attendant, and any medication the patient is already on. We handle the coach reservation and the railway paperwork ourselves.
